1969 Boskenmark Federal Council Election
Nielz Metzger's retirement left a massive power vacuum, allowing urban liberals to retake the Council and the Presidency, ending decades of hardline military rule. Boosted by high youth turnout in liberal cities, the Liberal People's Party (LPP) seized a majority of the Council seats. Ivan Piltz simultaneously defeated the BNA's Leon Beckermann for the presidency, flipping the Vost Federal District and the Southern Maritime cantons to the liberal column.
The BNA, without Metzger's iron grip, collapsed from its monopoly position, hemorrhaging support across the agricultural heartlands. The Popular Front, a pacifist coalition, entered the Council for the first time.
*Total Seats: 15 | LPP Majority: 1 (8 Seats) | Chair Ivan Piltz*
