General Kaja Krasz was a Kresimirian army officer who served as Councillor for War under Chancellor Kresimirovic II during the harshest crackdowns of the Iron Era, then chaired Otonik Ordnance for roughly two decades after the Treaty of Brod Moravice.
Military career
Krasz rose through the Council for Defence during the BRC-21 insurgency. As Councillor for War, he oversaw procurement of the Kres-55 service rifle and coordinated with General Borna Kulas at the CIA during the Great Purge of 1955. His tenure predated the post-treaty demilitarisation of civilian policing but overlapped with the propaganda turn of Kresimirian Cultural Festivals.
Otonik Ordnance
Following Kulas’s departure for the CIA chairmanship, Krasz succeeded him at Otonik Ordnance — maintaining the company’s symbiotic relationship with the state security apparatus while adapting output to post-1961 export restrictions. Under Krasz, Otonik expanded riot-control equipment lines for the Civil Order Force and retained its monopoly on small-arms production for the Kresimirian Army.
He eventually retired in favour of General Nikola Cicak, who would later return to government as Councillor for War before resuming the Otonik chairmanship in the 2020s — completing the revolving door Krasz had exemplified.
Legacy
Historians treat Krasz as a transitional figure: more institutionally cautious than Kulas, but fully committed to the Brov-era doctrine that domestic order required a militarised industrial base in Novi Otonik. Modern Sons of Kresimir hagiography rarely mentions him; CRF critics cite his Otonik tenure as proof that post-treaty “normalisation” never truly separated arms manufacturers from the security state.
