Kresimiria Boskenmark

Boskenmark

Boskenmark is a country bordering the Divine Republic of Kresimiria to the south. The nation serves as the political and cultural center for the Bosken ethnic group and is the primary state adherent of the Pravoslavic Faith. Boskenmark and Kresimiria have a long-standing and deeply hostile relationship, primarily centered on a territorial dispute over the Kresimirian district of Moraviskameja.

History

Like Kresimiria, the lands of modern Boskenmark were formerly part of the Vosti Empire. Following the empire’s collapse in 1918, Boskenmark emerged as an independent state.

During the Kresimirian Unification War (1918-1921), Boskenmark actively supported the Eastern Pravoslavic Confederacy, which sought to unite the Pravoslavic-majority territories, including Moraviskameja, with Boskenmark. It supplied the Confederacy with volunteers and materiel and, in the final stages of the war, intervened with its own military forces. The eventual Centralist victory and the incorporation of Moraviskameja into Kresimiria established a deep-seated enmity between the two nations that has persisted for over a century.

Relationship with Kresimiria

The relationship is defined by the “Moraviskameja Question.” Boskenmark does not recognize Kresimirian sovereignty over the district, viewing it as occupied territory. This has led to a history of proxy conflicts, with Boskenmark widely believed to have provided covert support to Bosken separatist groups within Kresimiria, such as BRC-21. The ultimate political goal of Bosken nationalist groups in Kresimiria is the secession of Moraviskameja and its unification with Boskenmark.
