Kresimiria 1930 Kaskivian General Election

1930 Kaskivian General Election

The “Secular Shift.” Following Matteo Vorelli’s retirement, Alessandro Silvi took over the LCP with a radical agenda to permanently separate church and state. To contrast Kaskiv with the rising, theocratic authoritarianism in Kresimiria’s Revolutionary People’s Party, Silvi violently purged the clerical faction from the LCP.

This resulted in a massive party schism. The ousted religious hardliners formed the Pravoslavic People’s Party under Ovidio Odorizzi and ran a bitter opposition campaign. Despite the split fracturing the conservative vote, Silvi pulled off a decisive victory, leaning on moderate urban voters. As Prime Minister, Silvi codified the secular constitution and significantly cooled relations with Kresimiria, closing the border to Kresimirian “missionaries” while keeping it open for lucrative grain exports.
