2005 Boskenmark Presidential Election

The “Nationalist Resurgence.” Following the ‘weak’ interim government led by Boris Musaus after the 1998 resignation of the socialist administration of Jannik Vorreich, Viktor Luxenberg swept to power promising to dismantle the “weak” foreign policy of the previous decade. Boris Musaus attempted to defend the liberal consensus but was blamed for the economic stagnation.

Following the complete dissolution of the disgraced Workers of Vost party, militant union leader Goran Fleischacker founded the Progressive Party. Having survived a highly publicized treason trial orchestrated by the conservative establishment, Fleischacker successfully rallied the furious miners of Rudarja. He captured a formidable 23.0% of the vote in the first round, effectively destroying incumbent Boris Musaus’s working-class support and cementing the Progressives as a permanent fixture in the Federation’s politics.
