Kresimiria 2014 Kruhlstutt General Election

2014 Kruhlstutt General Election

Incumbent SWL Prime Minister Alfred Windischmann faced an electorate deeply divided over Kresimirian refugees fleeing the ongoing political tightening in Sinj after the 2013 election of Chairman Ari Stov. Windischmann campaigned on human rights, promising to keep borders open to political exiles while attempting to restrict tech sales to Kresimiria.

Windischmann narrowly held onto power, forming a fragile minority government with the Greens. However, the term was defined by political gridlock. Windischmann’s attempts to formally sanction Kresimirian tech imports were continuously paralyzed by the Kruhlstutter Union in the Chamber of Deputies, who routinely blocked the legislation to protect the profits of Kruhlstutt’s semiconductor conglomerates.
