Kresimiria Civic Union

Civic Union

The Civic Union (CU) was the dominant liberal-conservative party of early Boskenmark, associated with President Stefan Hartschnell and his “Safe Harbor” foreign policy.

The Civic Union oversaw Boskenmark’s transition from General Meik Rinder’s military junta to civilian democracy, the 1925 Constitution, and decades of relative civil liberty. Its final presidential candidate, Vice President Oscar Hantzsch, replaced Hartschnell on the 1948 ticket after Hartschnell’s death but lost to Nielz Metzger. The party dissolved within several years of that defeat.
