Diviner Markos is one of the foundational theologians of Kresimirianism, credited with compiling and interpreting much of the Books of Kresimir, especially the Book of Markos. That text supplies several of the Republic’s most politically consequential doctrines — including the mandates for bodily autonomy and equality of preference that underpin Kresimiria’s progressive social legislation on abortion and marriage equality.
Markos is venerated alongside Prophet Zvonomir and King Kresimir I in state liturgy. Graduates of the Faculty of Divinity at Karlovac University study his commentaries as canonical law, while reformist theologians such as Chancellor Kresimirovic III have reinterpreted Markos through the lens of “Civic Grace” against the hardline Divinist tradition of Kresimir Basic.
