The Divinity Certificate is the official document certifying adherence to Kresimirianism, issued by local Diviners under the supervision of the Council for Divinity. It is the practical mechanism of the Faith Restriction Clause: without a valid certificate, a resident of the Divine Republic cannot vote, hold most public offices, or access upper-tier civil service positions.
Issuance and revocation
Certificates are typically issued at birth to children of Kresimirian families or upon adult conversion following catechesis. A Diviner may revoke a certificate if the holder is deemed to have abandoned the faith — a power that Article 5, Clause 4 treats as tantamount to stripping citizenship. Revoked citizens may appeal to district courts, but those courts must refer final judgment to the Council for Divinity, whose ruling is binding.
Political significance
The certificate system disenfranchises Pravoslavic Boskens in Moraviskameja and underpins decades of separatist grievance. Reformers in the Civic Renewal Front have periodically proposed secularising suffrage, but Sons of Kresimir leaders such as Malik Kondratiev treat the certificate as non-negotiable theological law.
