King Kresimir I is the legendary first mortal ruler of the Kresimirian people and, in Kresimirian theology, the earthly incarnation of Lord Kresimir Himself. According to the Books of Kresimir, he was miraculously born to Chrobatos and Mirana in Sinj without mortal conception, uniting the faithful under divine law and establishing the borders of the Holy Land.
Medieval chroniclers and later Diviner Markos expanded the Kresimir I corpus into the canonical scriptures still enforced by the Council for Divinity. The modern Divine Chancellor is understood to inherit this mandate — a lineage invoked by both mainstream nationalists and fringe monarchists such as the Imperial Heritage Party, who conflate Kresimir I with later unifiers like King Kresimir IV.
