Kresimiria Klostar

Klostar

Klostar is a mid-sized industrial town in District V (Moskiprovac) situated on the eastern bend of the Kambel River. Together with Vijrje, it anchors the fertile floodplains that feed the National Grain Trust (NGT) and the national food reserve.

Geography and economy

After leaving the northern hills, the Kambel sweeps south around Vijrje before bending eastward around Klostar. The town’s mills and cold-storage silos process wheat and maize from Moskiprovac’s agricultural heartland — a logistical chain monitored by both the Council for Growth and RSZU food-science graduates.

Unlike bureaucratic Vijrje, Klostar’s economy is visibly industrial: freight rail spurs, NGT contract silos, and seasonal hiring spikes during harvest. Northern Power politicians in Bistrica occasionally demand Klostar-origin grain quotas as leverage against Sinj price controls.

Legacy

Klostar rarely appears in national politics except as shorthand for “breadbasket Moskiprovac” — the eastern counterpart to western extraction towns like Bistrica, where the same river system eventually feeds Maj Holdings smelters downstream.
