Kresimiria Kresimirian High Diviner

Kresimirian High Diviner

The Kresimirian High Diviner (also styled High Diviner of the Prophet) is the supreme clerical office of Kresimirianism and the chair of the Council for Divinity. The High Diviner interprets the Books of Kresimir, supervises the national Diviner corps, and serves as the final arbiter of appeals involving Divinity Certificates and citizenship under the Faith Restriction Clause.

Role and powers

Constitutionally, the High Diviner is among the most influential figures in the Divine Republic. Appointment requires the Divine Chancellor and confirmation by the Assembly, embedding the office in both executive and legislative politics. High Diviners routinely deliver nationally televised sermons from the Cathedral of the Prophet and can effectively veto liberalising religious reforms by rallying the Sons of Kresimir base.

Notable officeholders

  • Marko Trobovic — High Diviner through the late Cold War era until succeeded in 1998.
  • Malik Kondratiev (1998–2012) — Radical Divinist; used the pulpit against secularism before entering SoK leadership.
  • Matej Merkas (2012–present) — Appointed by Chancellor Kresimirovic IV to moderate the Council after Kondratiev’s departure; sceptical of YakaSys “Digital Faith” initiatives.
