Loris Sedita is was a Kaskivian politician who founded the Radical Socialist Party (RSP) in 1962 as a far-left offshoot of the moderate United Socialist Party (USP).
Sedita led the RSP in the 1986 General Election (11 seats) and had previously appeared on RSP lists in 1978. Under his later leadership, prominent RSP parliamentarians included Aleix Monet and Gerino Melfi.
When the RSP was dissolved by court order during the 1994 campaign, Sedita retired from parliament rather than joining the successor Free League. That emergency party was formed by younger survivors such as Melfi and Monet; Sedita’s role ended with the party he had built.
