The boyband Josie Dropout formed at the Academy in 2010 when founding members Niko Vlasic, Teo Kovac, Luka Zima, and Davor B. began performing cover sets at debutante balls. Their rapid rise on KresiX made the Academy a symbol of Sinj’s hereditary celebrity class — contrasted with industrial-district acts such as Starskard from Novi Otonik.
Criticism
Northern Power and satirical outlets mock the Academy as a pipeline from inherited wealth to TRK stardom. The MLA rarely permits investigative reporting on its admissions policies or donor lists.
