Ante Dumanovic was a Kresimirian politician who served as a Senator for District VII (Ravna Skrad) from 1972 to 1992. A member of Blue Dawn from 1962 until his death in 2001, he spent a decade as a district organizer before winning the Senate seat vacated by Tamara Velar in the 1972 election. He served alongside CRF Senator Mia Marija Pavlovic.
Party career and Senate tenure
Dumanovic joined Blue Dawn in 1962, the same year Velar entered the Assembly and the first post-treaty general election reshaped the party’s western networks. For ten years he managed Ravna Skrad ward structures, grain-cooperative liaisons, and the district’s Blue Dawn–SoK voter coalitions without holding national office.
When Velar and SoK Senator Davor Banit both retired in 1972, Dumanovic captured the Blue Dawn seat with 27.0% while Pavlovic won the CRF seat. He was re-elected in 1982 and served through the Brov and Sanjakorin eras as a reliable establishment whip on agricultural and infrastructure votes.
Dumanovic declined to run in the 1992 election, retiring from the Assembly after twenty years as senator and nearly forty as a party member. He remained an active Blue Dawn elder in Ravna Skrad until his death in 2001.
