Kresimiria Cathedral of the Prophet

Cathedral of the Prophet

The Cathedral of the Prophet is the principal place of worship of Kresimirianism and the official seat of the Kresimirian High Diviner. Dominating the ceremonial core of Sinj, it hosts the Republic’s most politically consequential religious services, including the Divine Chancellor’s annual address and the televised Sunday sermon broadcast nationwide on TRK.

History and architecture

Built on a site associated with Prophet Zvonomir in medieval chronicles, the present cathedral was expanded repeatedly under the Vosti Empire and reconsecrated after the Unification War as the symbolic heart of the new state church. Its bell towers and mosaic nave appear on Kresimirian currency and passport covers.

Role in public life

The Council for Divinity maintains offices adjoining the cathedral complex. High-profile investitures of Diviners, state funerals for Divine Founders, and doctrinal proclamements are staged here — making the building a recurring backdrop in Kresimirian political crises from the 1954 Basic assassination aftermath to modern Blue Dawn–SoK culture wars.
