Kresimiria FC Sinj

FC Sinj

FC Sinj is a professional association football club based in the capital Sinj, competing in the Republic League (RL). Founded in 1921 alongside the Republic itself, the club is the sporting emblem of Kresimirian centralism — traditionally backed by the political elite, the military, and the Blue Dawn establishment.

Identity and support

FC Sinj’s crest features the Vjetrusa of Kresimir; supporters chant hymns from the Books of Kresimir during home fixtures. The club’s ultras are infamous for the pre-match “Scrapping the Rust” ritual — destroying a painted KM-4 car in rival colours outside Ravna Skrad Stadium.

The Holy Derby

The club’s defining fixture is The Holy Derby against Bosken-identified NK Moravice United, played at neutral Ravna Skrad since the rivalry became too violent for either home city. Matches are classified as CIA “High Risk Events.” In 2016, Northern Power Senator Sifet Izbe — then a Lipovljana FC winger — suffered a career-ending knee injury against FC Sinj, an incident Izbe’s supporters still cite as proof of Sinj-centred arrogance in RL refereeing.

Legacy

FC Sinj dominates historiography and TRK highlight reels but shares an almost even all-time record with Moravice United — fuel for the Republic’s fiercest sporting feud and a proxy for ethnic division across Nastavak.
