The Revolutionary People’s Council of the Divine Faith of Kresimirianism, commonly known as the Revolutionary People’s Council (RPC), was the six-member political body that led the Centralist Faction to victory in the Kresimirian Unification War and subsequently founded the Divine Republic of Kresimiria. Its members are revered in the Republic as the Divine Founders.
Members
The Council was composed of six ideologues and leaders:
- Filip Novak (Charismatic revolutionary leader)
- Luka Matar
- Eward Matek
- Nika Radman (Youngest member)
- General Dominik Lončar (Military commander)
- Diviner Kresimir Basic (Religious figure)
History
The Council emerged as the political leadership of the Centralist Faction following the collapse of the Vosti Empire in 1918. It directed the war effort and, upon achieving victory in 1921, drafted and proclaimed the Constitution of Kresimiria, establishing the new state.
The Council acted as the de facto provisional government of Kresimiria until the first general election in May 1922. After the election, the Council was formally dissolved, and its members went on to form the core of the new government. Filip Novak founded the Revolutionary People’s Party, which dominated the first Assembly, and most other members were also elected as Senators under its banner.
