Sybille Tauber is a Bosken cultural administrator who served as Director of the Bosken Heritage Foundation (BHF) at the time of the 2011 National Film Archive Attack in Sinj. When AFIM bombed the National Film Archive, killing security officers and destroying irreplaceable Bosken-language reels, Tauber framed the attackers as “arsonists of their own history” rather than patriots. The statement aligned the BHF with BLF senators Jannik Lehr and Isaak von Steuer, who likewise condemned violence against archives and personnel while distancing political separatism from AFIM’s methods.
Legacy
Tauber’s quote is still invoked in District X debates whenever BNA-aligned groups claim AFIM “preserves Bosken identity.” CIA files from the post-attack surveillance expansion cite her statement as evidence that Moraviskameja’s cultural elite rejected AFIM’s strategy — even when sympathetic to Bosken grievances against Sinj.
