Veselina Jolar was a Kresimirian politician who served as a Senator for District VIII (Zahodecelska) from 1972–1982. A member of Blue Dawn, she was first elected in the 1972 election during Chair Ante Brov’s peak influence, sitting alongside veteran Northern Power Senator Dalibor Pralinovic in the industrial lakeshore district.
Tenure (1972–1982)
Jolar embodied Blue Dawn’s union-friendly statism in Cetingrad and the wider Zahodecelska steel corridor. She consistently backed Brov’s infrastructure budgets, including harbour dredging grants that benefited Maj Holdings’ Cetingrad complex even as she publicly demanded worker-safety audits after foundry accidents.
Throughout the 1970s, Jolar functioned as a reliable whip vote for Brov’s ten-seat caucus. She opposed SoK attempts to impose Diviner licensing on District VIII municipal schools and supported federal electrification extensions tied to Johann Valak’s Development Council programmes in rural Zahodecelska.
Defeat and death
Jolar lost her seat to Radan Vlaev of the Civic Renewal Front in the 1982 election, part of the CRF surge that coincided with Ljubo Sanjakorin’s rise within Blue Dawn. She retired to Cetingrad and died there in 2000.
