Kresimiria Pologradska

Pologradska

One of the ten Kresimirian Districts.

Pologradska (District III) is a federal electoral district located in the eastern plains of Kresimiria. It is centered around the historic city of Polograd, which holds a “Special Status of Divinity” due to its cultural significance.

The district is a study in contrasts: it is home to the nation’s intellectual elite via the Grand Library of Polograd, yet its rural countryside remains the most religiously conservative region in the Republic.

Politics

Pologradska is the traditional stronghold of the Kresimirian right-wing. It was the home district of CRF founder Eward Matek, but following the 1962 election, it shifted sharply toward nationalism.

For fifty years (1962–2012), the district was represented by Sons of Kresimir leader Tihomir Bran. Today, it remains the only district to elect a SoK senator, current leader Malik Kondratiev. The other seat is held by the wealthy industrialist Bran Maj of Vjetrusa, whose corporate empire, Maj Holdings, is headquartered in Polograd.

Culture

The district is famous for the Grand Library of Polograd, one of the few institutions to survive the collapse of the Vosti Empire intact. It houses the oldest known copies of the Books of Kresimir.
