Sinj

Sinj is the capital and largest city of the Divine Republic of Kresimiria. Located in the country’s central region, it serves as the administrative, political, and religious heart of the nation. It constitutes the majority of the electoral district of the same name, District I.

History

According to the Books of Kresimir, Sinj is the “Divine and historic seat” of the nation’s religious and historical figures. During the Kresimirian Unification War, the city served as the headquarters for the Centralist Faction and the Revolutionary People’s Council. Upon the founding of the Republic in 1921, it was formally named the capital in Article 2 of the Constitution.

Government

As the capital, Sinj is home to all major institutions of the Kresimirian government. This includes the Seat of the Assembly, the official residence of the Divine Chancellor, the headquarters of all Federal Councils, and the Superior Tribunal.

Culture

Sinj is a major cultural center in Kresimiria. It is home to the popular football club FC Sinj, whose matches against NK Moravice United from Brod Moravice are known as the “Holy Derby” and are marked by intense political tension. Politically, District I is considered a safe seat for the establishment party, Blue Dawn, and its predecessor, the RPP.
