Gordan Molnar is a Kresimirian politician who served as Senator for District III (Pologradska) from 1992–2002, representing the Civic Renewal Front (CRF).
Molnar was elected in the 1992 Assembly Election, capturing Pologradska for the liberals during a period of national realignment that briefly raised CRF hopes in the conservative heartland. He sat alongside Mia Marija Pavlovic’s surge caucus while SoK retained municipal control of Polograd under Budimir Gavranovic.
Tenure (1992–2002)
Molnar participated in the 1993 Special Election and voted Against the 1993 Public Office Eligibility Act during the 1993 Moraviski Crisis, aligning with Pavlovic on civil-liberties grounds. In Pologradska he championed Grand Library digitisation grants and opposed Maj Holdings zoning variances that Zvonimir Bran’s SoK successors had resisted — without ever breaking SoK’s grip on City Hall.
By the late 1990s**, CRF organisation in District III atrophied as Boj Volansky-style corporate libertarianism failed to resonate with Polograd’s theological electorate. Molnar functioned as a Sinj-aligned liberal placeholder rather than a district powerbroker.
Retirement
He did not seek re-election in the 2002 election, as the CRF continued its long decline outside its traditional strongholds. Tihomir Bran’s SoK successor bench and later Viktor von Kres’s brief monarchist mayoral experiment absorbed Pologradska attention after Molnar’s departure.
