Kresimiria Marc Honigberschmidt

Marc Honigberschmidt

Marc Honigberschmidt was a Bosken veteran of the Kresimirian Unification War and founder of the Bosken National Alliance (BNA) in 1937. His presidential candidacy in the 1939 Boskenmark Presidential Election — third place with 15.4% — established revanchist nationalism as a permanent force in Federation politics.

Military background

Honigberschmidt fought for the collapsing Vosti Empire and later for Bosken irregular units resisting Sinj’s annexation of Moraviskameja. Wounded during the Siege of Ravna Skrad, he returned to Vost convinced that civilian politicians had betrayed Bosken soldiers by accepting the 1918 armistice lines. His memoirs, circulated in officers’ clubs throughout the 1930s, blamed Stefan Hartschnell’s Civic Union for “financing defeat.”

Founding the BNA

In 1937, Honigberschmidt registered the BNA as an explicit rejection of both Hartschnell’s gradualism and the Imperial Party’s nostalgia for the ghost emperors. The party platform demanded rearmament, Pravoslavic social conservatism, and the eventual “ liberation” of District X — without, Honigberschmidt insisted, provoking a conventional war Kresimiria would win.

The 1939 Federal Council Election delivered the BNA its first seat in the North Brod March, capitalising on border anxieties during the “Silent War” with Sinj.

Later career

Honigberschmidt did not live to see the BNA’s 1948 victory under General Nielz Metzger, but he hand-picked Metzger as the party’s presidential standard-bearer and purged moderate rivals before his death. Modern Viktor Luxenberg invokes Honigberschmidt’s “Strategic Patience” doctrine when funding AFIM splinters while publicly denying direct involvement.

Legacy

Honigberschmidt is the BNA’s canonical founder — honoured in Vost monuments, cited by LPP opponents as the original author of Boskenmark’s militarist turn, and studied by CIA analysts as the template for “patience revanchism” across Nastavak.
