Kresimiria Ikka Wallman

Ikka Wallman

Ikka Wallman (born 1985) is a Moraviski-Kresimirian artist and politician who has served as a Senator for District X (Moraviskameja) since 2012. A member of the Bosken Liberation Front (BLF), he serves alongside party leader Isaak von Steuer.

Wallman represents the cultural and youthful wing of the Bosken movement. Unlike the legalistic approach of Von Steuer, Wallman rose to prominence through the arts, specifically a provocative photography series that highlighted the economic disparity between Kresimiria’s center and its southern periphery.

While adhering to the BLF’s non-violent platform, Wallman is considered more nationalist and rhetorically aggressive than the party leadership. He is a controversial figure in Sinj, particularly after his 2021 speech calling for a “spiritual reunification” with Boskenmark, which drew a formal rebuke from the Council for Internal Affairs.

Early Life and Photography

Ikka Wallman was born in 1985 in Brod Moravice. His family was working-class; his father was a mechanic for the National Grain Trust.

After finishing secondary school, Wallman worked for Republic Rail as a freight train driver. For five years, he operated the so-called “Ghost Trains”—heavy supply lines running through the militarized zones of District X.

The Forgotten Line (2010)

During his shifts, Wallman began taking photographs of the landscapes he traversed. In 2010, he curated these images into an exhibition titled The Forgotten Line. The collection juxtaposed the gleaming, modern infrastructure of Sinj and Ravna Skrad with the crumbling stations and poverty of Moraviskameja.

The exhibition became a sensation among the Bosken youth and was featured in the Civic Post and the Early Bird Chronicle. It gave visual language to the Bosken grievance of economic neglect, transforming Wallman into a minor celebrity and a voice for his generation.

Political Career

The 2012 Election

In 2011, long-serving BLF Senator Jannik Lehr announced his retirement. The BLF leadership, looking to energize their voter base and counter the recruitment efforts of the terrorist group AFIM, approached Wallman.

Despite his lack of political experience, Wallman was a strategic choice. He was charismatic, famous, and untainted by the violence of the past. In the 2012 election, he ran for the second seat in District X. He won handily with 38.8% of the vote, defeating opponents from Blue Dawn and securing the BLF’s continued monopoly on the district.

Tenure in the Assembly

In the Assembly, Wallman acts as the emotional counterpart to Von Steuer’s intellectualism. While Von Steuer fights legal battles in committee rooms, Wallman gives impassioned speeches on the floor about cultural erasure.

He was heavily involved in the relief efforts following the 2014 Sprodvice Earthquakes. He used his photography skills to document the slow government response, disseminating images of Civil Order Force officers blocking aid trucks, which severely damaged the reputation of the Ari Stov government internationally.

Controversies

The 2021 Centenary Vigil

In 2021, the Bosken Heritage Foundation organized a vigil in Brod Moravice to mark the centenary of the division of the Bosken lands following the Unification War.

Wallman was the keynote speaker. Deviating from his approved remarks, he delivered a fiery address in which he declared:

“Borders are drawn by ink and guarded by iron, but they cannot sever the soul. We are one people, divided by a tragedy of history. We must seek a spiritual reunification with our brothers across the line, for no checkpoint can stop the flow of blood and memory.”

The speech was met with thunderous applause in the district but panic in the capital. The CIA issued a formal rebuke, labeling the speech “borderline seditious” and threatening to strip Wallman of his parliamentary immunity. Wallman refused to apologize, solidifying his status as a hero to the nationalist hardliners.

Stance on Drugs

Surprisingly, Wallman broke with the conservative tendencies of his rural base to vote For the 2023 Harm Reduction Act. He argued that addiction in District X was a symptom of despair caused by Kresimirian occupation, and that “putting our boys in prison” only helped the state.

Ideology

Wallman is a Cultural Nationalist.

  • Reunification: While he publicly adheres to the BLF’s “Autonomy” platform to avoid arrest, his rhetoric consistently hints at a desire for eventual union with Boskenmark.
  • Anti-Militarism: Despite his nationalism, he criticizes AFIM, arguing that their violence gives the Kresimirian state an excuse to militarize the region. He advocates for “cultural resistance” through art, language, and non-compliance.
