The 1924 Special Election took place on the 29th of December, 1924, in Distric X (Moraviskameja) upon the assassination of Senator Ivana Simuna. Held amidst a constitutional crisis and an atmosphere of extreme violence and intimidation, the election was a pivotal moment in the early history of the Republic. It resulted in a victory for the BRC-21-backed independent candidate, Adin Vedran, and directly triggered the formation of the hardline Kresimirian nationalist party, the Sons of Kresimir.
