The Divine Republic of Kresimiria is a unitary state divided into ten federal districts for electoral and administrative purposes. According to the Constitution, each district elects two Senators to the 20-seat Assembly of the Republic. Under the 1967 District Governance Act, those Senators serve as the district’s de jure Joint Executives — the constitutional governors of their territories. In practice, municipal mayors often dominate day-to-day local power through independent tax revenues and patronage networks.
The district borders are subject to review before each election by the Council for Growth and Agriculture to ensure each contains roughly one-tenth of the nation’s population.
