Kler Blnic was a Kresimirian politician who served as Senator for District III (Pologradska) from 1952–1962, representing the religious nationalist Sons of Kresimir (SoK).
Blnic was elected in the 1952 Assembly Election, capturing Pologradska for the SoK during the late Iron Era as Luka Matar’s rebranded Blue Dawn absorbed the old RPP machine. He replaced the retiring Tomislav Saric bench and sat alongside Marija Sarislav’s legacy networks in the district’s archival conservatism.
Tenure (1952–1962)
Blnic voted on the 1959 Civil Order Reform Act and participated in the ratification of the Treaty of Brod Moravice (1961), one of the most consequential votes in Assembly history. Unlike hardliners in Kromine, he followed Leon Rukavin’s whip on the treaty floor vote while publicly mourning its cultural cost to Polograd’s anti-Bosken traditions.
Throughout the 1950s, Blnic aligned SoK’s Pologradska caucus with Kresimir Basic’s national leadership, securing Diviner appointments to District III education boards and blocking CRF attempts to liberalise Grand Library access rules.
Retirement
Blnic did not seek re-election in the 1962 election, as the post-treaty political realignment reshaped party alignments across the Republic. Tihomir Bran succeeded him as SoK’s senior Pologradska senator and would later engineer Zvonimir Bran’s mayoral takeover in 1968.
